December

In the past 2 months, I've had a chance to work on two major features - adding Publication Station as well as allowing picking top 10 series to display on your public profile. As usual there has also been more boring under the hood work done, that you can read in the changelog.

šŸ“… Publication Status

Launched in November, this long-awaited feature is finally finished, letting you filter by Publication Status.

Many of you prefer picking up only completed series or avoiding those that got axed. Sometimes you might wonder why a series hasn’t been updated in a while—now you can see if it’s on hiatus or if translation work simply stopped.

Of course, you can also filter your Dashboard! For example, to quickly find completed series in your Plan to Read list. No more guesswork or extra research needed!

⭐ Favourite Series

Another exciting addition is our continued expansion of social features, this time allowing you to showcase your favourite series—up to a Top 10—on your public profile.

Simply edit any of the entries in your Dashboard and mark it as a Favourite. If you already have 10, you’ll need to remove one before adding another.

And if you want to change the order of your Favourites—maybe go for a classic Top 10, a 3Ɨ3 layout, or any arrangement where sequence matters—just visit your profile, click ā€œEdit,ā€ and rearrange them as you like.

šŸ“ˆProgress Overview

And with that, another year has passed! I may not have accomplished as much as I’d hoped in the latter half, but I’m proud of the many features I did deliver—nearly all of my goals, such as launching Premium Pro and Personal Recommendations, have been met.

Looking ahead, I plan to focus on increasing Kenmei’s visibility through various marketing channels while polishing both existing features as well as working on top requested features. My aim is to have all current functionalities upgraded by the end of 2025.

I don’t have an exact feature roadmap yet, as I’ll be surveying and re-evaluating needs, but here’s a rough list of priorities:

  1. Improving Onboarding Experience

  2. New social features

  3. New Supported Sites

  4. Expanding Data (e.g. new tags)
