It's been two months since the last update and for a good reason: I've been working on an entirely new page, which will become very important as new features get released. I am talking of course about settings page, which you can find now next to the log out link in your profile
When you visit this page, you will land on the Account Settings page, with different tabs you can cycle through on the right.
Let's walk through the new sections and functionality bit by bit. Starting with account, there are currently 3 sections, which are Profile, Password and Account Termination.
Account
Profile
Currently, this section will only let you change your email. I plan to add more fields here, for example ability to change your username, when more social features get released.
To change your email, simply type in a new email and press Save. You will then see that your new email is pending confirmation:
At the same time, you will receive the same email, as you did when first registering on the site. To complete your email change, click the link and you will go through the same confirmation process, resulting in your email getting changed.
Password
This section is quite self-explanatory. Provide matching new passwords as well as your current password. If there are any issues, you will get an error explaining what you need to fix. I plan to improve this section with input field validations, like you get on Sign Up, so the process is even simpler.
Account Termination
Finally, the ability to delete your account. While I hope this functionality won't ever be used, it's important let everyone have control of their data. If for any reason you need to leave Kenmei, this will erase all your data. As there is no ability to export your data from Kenmei just yet, be extra careful here.
Before your account get deleted, you will get a confirmation prompt, after which there is no going back
Manga List
This is currently a placeholder, but soon you will be able to manage your Tags here, as well as adjust manga list preferences, for example whatever to show titles in English or Romaji
Upcoming
There is of course a lot more to come in your settings. Ability to manage your notifications and email options, being able to switch between dark and light themes or managing premium features. The near-term is adding Tags and Preferences options, but the rest of the features will be announced in due time.
